✨ Opening Reflection
Dear Friends,
Sometimes loving our neighbor as ourselves can be hard. It might be a reflection of our mindset, our emotions, or simply that we are not fully aligned with Christ in what it truly means to love. And that’s okay. We are human, not Christ Himself.
We struggle because we carry our own hurts, we wrestle with pride, or we run out of patience. Sometimes people’s choices or values feel so far from our own that love doesn’t come naturally. But even in these struggles, God invites us to turn back to Him. His love is the source, and when we draw from it, we find strength to extend what we couldn’t on our own.
This week, we are reflecting on God’s love in action, how His love transforms us and moves through us into the world. When we shift our focus back to Him, even the smallest acts, listening, forgiving, serving, become reflections of His great love.
📖 Scripture Highlight
"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
— 1 John 3:18
This verse is a reminder that real love is more than words, it is demonstrated in what we do.

🕊 Mini-Teaching: 3 Reasons We Struggle to Love (and How God Meets Us There)
1. Our Own Hurts
When we are carrying wounds or disappointment, it can feel impossible to love others.
How God meets us: He reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). God heals us so we can pour out love from a whole heart.
2. Pride and Self-Protectiveness
Our instinct is to defend ourselves, to be “right,” or to hold grudges. Pride makes it hard to extend grace.
How God meets us: Through Christ’s example of humility, washing feet, forgiving enemies, He shows us that lowering ourselves lifts others up.
3. Emotional Fatigue and Busyness
When we are drained, distracted, or overwhelmed, love feels like one more demand.
How God meets us: He invites us to rest in Him: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). In His presence, our strength is renewed to love again.

🌸 Lifestyle Enrichment: Small Acts, Big Impact
Want a simple way to weave God’s love into your daily life? Keep a pack of notecards nearby and each week write one card of encouragement to a family member, coworker, or friend. Over time, those little notes can create a ripple effect of love.
✝️ Discipleship in Action: Living It Out Together
Discipleship isn’t only about knowing God’s Word—it’s about living it out and inviting others to do the same. When we embody God’s love through action, we become walking testimonies of His grace.
This week, think about one person in your life you can invite to experience God’s love in action. It might be as simple as:
Inviting a friend to pray with you.
Sharing a scripture that spoke to you this week.
Asking someone, “How can I show up for you right now?”
Extending forgiveness and modeling reconciliation.
As disciples, we don’t just talk about God’s love—we demonstrate it in our relationships, workplaces, homes, and communities. Every act of love is both a reflection of Christ and an invitation for others to encounter Him.
🌟 Closing Encouragement
Friends, God’s love is not distant, it flows through you every time you choose compassion, kindness, and grace. This week, may you see opportunities to shine His love in both big and small ways.
With peace and joy,
Tara
